Alexander Technique
Group classes
A group class in the Alexander Technique offers a unique and rewarding way to learn. While private lessons give individual focus, groups add the benefits of shared discovery. Othersโ questions can spark new insights, and the light-hearted atmosphere makes learning easier and more enjoyable. Plus, itโs a more affordable way to continue exploring your coordination, balance, and freedom in movement.
Over the past few years, Cathy has run groups for beginners and returning students โ exploring topics such as applying the Technique to everyday activities, performance, managing pain, improving balance, and deepening practical skills.
Group class bookings are currently closed. More topics and dates coming soon.

Group Classes
(SEO -story version)
Learning the Alexander Technique in a group can be an enjoyable, supportive, and surprisingly effective way to deepen your understanding. While private lessons give you individual attention, a group setting offers something different โ a sense of shared discovery. Listening to othersโ experiences and questions often sheds light on your own, and laughter and curiosity tend to replace the seriousness that can creep into learning. Many people find that being part of a group makes the process lighter, more engaging, and full of โahaโ moments.
Why learn in a group?
Group classes offer several advantages over private lessons. You get to:
Learn from othersโ insights and common challenges.
Enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere where progress feels natural.
Build confidence applying the Alexander Technique to daily life.
Maintain ongoing practice at a lower cost.
Explore new topics such as performance, stress management, and movement efficiency.
A group class is especially valuable once youโve had a taste of the Alexander Technique โ perhaps from an introductory workshop or a few private lessons โ and want to keep growing your awareness and skill.
Past group classes
Cathy has run a range of Alexander Technique groups over recent years in East Brunswick and Coburg. Past programs have included:

Better balance and mobility for seniors โ improving confidence and coordination.
Building your Alexander toolkit โ going deeper into self-observation and release.
